MUNICH: ENGLISH GARDEN
With an area of 3.7 qkm (1.4 sq mi) (958 ha) the English Garden is one of the world's largest public parks, situated right in the middle of the city. It is larger than New York's Central Park and even larger than the whole country of Monte-Carlo! You can easily spend the whole day at the park: wander from one beergarden to the other, lay down next to the Eisbach, a small river that crosses the park from south to north. Watch naked people running around on the lawn along the Eisbach. See the spectacular Eisbach Surfers on the famous Eisbach Wave. Mount the Chinese Tower and the Monopterus. Take a rowing boat or a pedal boat for a romantic trip across the Lake. Or simply have another beer in one of the beautiful beergardens and listen to the "Blasmusik".
