MUNICH: THEATINERKIRCHE
The Catholic Church of St. Cajetan, called Theatinerkirche, was the first church in the style of the late Italian Baroque that was built north of the Alps. In 1688 the church had been completed under the direction of Enrico Zuccali. The bright yellow facade in the style of the rococo was designed by François de Cuvilliés. The interior is adorned with Corinthian columns and stucco elements. The mighty building houses the tombs of the kings Max Josef I. and Max II.
